Lyle Cook is currently Vice President & Credit Relationship Manager of Syringa Bank. In his current role, Lyle works with business owners and managers to achieve their business and personal financial goals. Lyle is a business banking expert who has a clientele base that he has developed a strong relationship of trust with. Prior to working at Syringa Bank, Lyle helped start Regal Financial Bank in Boise where he worked for four years.
Lyle also launched the commercial lending division at First Horizon (First Tennessee Bank) in the Boise market in 2003. Having grown up in Eastern Idaho and graduating from Idaho State University in the early 1990’s, Lyle has deep roots in the State of Idaho. He moved to the Boise valley in 1995 and considers Boise his lifetime home. Prior to his banking career, Lyle served in a wide array of positions including Sales & Marketing Director for Les Bois Park, Marketing & Events Manager for Downtown Boise Association, and Assistant Used Equipment Manager for Western States Caterpillar.
Lyle has been involved in horse racing since he was old enough to lift a pitchfork. He spent most of eight years as a Professional Jockey throughout Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and a brief stint in California. In 1992 he was the leading Jockey in the State of Idaho with 102 wins and in 1994 set a world record that stood until 2002. He continues to own and train racehorses as a hobby. He owns racehorses in California…..and only keeps the ones that WIN! Lyle has coached in the optimist football program for several years and enjoys all sports, especially golf. His beloved sports team is the Philadelphia Eagles. He attends their games whenever they play on the West Coast.
Lyle is married and is the proud father of a son that attends Eagle High School. (He is a senior!) Lyle speaks fluent Portuguese and enjoys traveling to warm climates – anywhere he can play golf.Lyle is a 2008 graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School and the current President of Sales & Marketing Executives of Boise.
