Well, at least at the time I wrote this ... there was no way to do that:( Both platforms have gone through some major updates since then but I doubt if you can do it yet.

Hi Jackie! I'm sticking with Nimble. Closest thing I have seen. Regarding tasks and reminders. First off, you can set Nimble to remind you of tasks that have been set in Nimble. Not a reminder that pops up, mind you, but it will show up in your activities tab. Hopefully we will see sync and reminders soon.

That being said, one of the things I like about Nimble is that it really does not care where you originate your messages, calendar, or tasks. For example, I use Gmail to create and reply to just about 100% of my emails and the same goes for Google Calendar. ALL of these actions are aggregated into Nimble automatically and that includes being sent to the appropriate contact record. Same holds true for your social networks. That's as close to perfection as I need at least right now:)

Finally, I am also now a Nimble Solution Partner so I would say that I am a believer:) That being said, have you heard of CRM Idol? It is a contest/evaluation of CRM applications and the final voting is going on now. Paul Greenberg of ZDNET heads this up. Here is a link ... http://www.zdnet.com/search?q=crm+idol

Good luck and thanks for stopping by and pitching in!!

Ever found that perfect combo? Or anything close? I've put way too many man hours looking for your exact solution...trial after trial (probably 25 looked at!). Nimble is neat but it doesn't sync tasks or even have reminders! Very basic social CRM. I had high hopes because I used Goldmine in the past (which was created by the same people, but doesn't offer a cloud platform). Appreciate anyone's feedback...

Craig,

Thank you so much for spending the time to review my book (hope you can post it on Amazon, too! #hinthint ;-). You are exactly my target audience, and knowing that you enjoyed the book puts a BIG smile on my face ;-) I look forward to seeing how your new LinkedIn Group does and I will be expecting to include YOUR success story in the next version!

Keep in touch my friend...

Comment on Getting Started With BatchBook Social CRM – Contact Sync by Craig M. Jamieson

Hi Desiree, Thanks for your comments! Unless things have changed, BatchBook syncs one way with Google contacts but not both ways. As I recall, if you made a change in BatchBook it would make that change in G Contacts but not the other way around. It also made that change in Google Contacts, not Gmail Contacts. I have never understood the need for the two bit this did cause me some difficulty. I never tried using it with WordPress (I assume to capture contacts?) or MailChimp so cannot comment on that.

I have since switched to Nimble Social CRM. Nimble is a new product just coming out of Beta. It does not yet sync with contacts but that is planned as is MailChimp integration and capturing leads from your website. For now, doing a re-sync is painless and easy and amazingly accurate. Nimble Contact, the single user version, is free. My guess is that MailChimp and website integration will be chargeable options.

I am now a Nimble Solution Partner. You can read more about Nimble at my other site, http://salesresultsllc.com and you will also see the Nimble Logo on the right sidebar. Click that to go to my partner site and sign up for your free copy of Nimble if interested.

Thanks again for visiting!
